In all conditions, especially in these conditions, one thing remains true - we all need deep, restorative rest.

Rest is now more essential than ever. Each of us needs rest, and not just for the body, but for our whole being- mind, heart, and spirit.

We need rest to restore ourselves.

We need rest to heal, both inside and out.

We need rest to focus, to pay close attention, and to see things clearly.

We need rest to reconnect with our inner resilience and strength.

We need rest to understand how we can best support one another and navigate difficult times.

Yoga Nidra is such a powerful practice because it allows us to rest on every level...physically, mentally, and emotionally. This practice is not just taking a nap, it offers profound, healing rest that helps us shed the tension and stress that accumulate within us.

Through Yoga Nidra, we are gently guided inward, releasing the physical tension that can accumulate in the body during stressful times. It also helps us release mental stress, those anxious thoughts and fears and any unhelpful stories that cloud our judgment or prevent us from acting with clarity. Just as importantly, it helps us open our hearts, so we can continue to respond with kindness and compassion - to ourselves, to others, and to whatever circumstances we may face.
